REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
After the right machine is found the real work begins; removal from its existing location and re-installation in your facility. Most used equipment dealers are in a hurry to wash their hands from these tasks. If you want us to, we will to. The fact of the matter is that this is where most Printers and Converters need the most help and direction. We are capable of assisting in these important areas.
It is not just the physical re location of the equipment but preparation for the re location. Is the floor able to support the weight of the new machine? Is the electrical service in the plant adequate to handle the additional load? Are the doors large enough to allow entrance? Will the parking lot support a crane large enough to unload trucks? Is there enough space to unload and temporarily store the equipment until assembled? What order should it arrive?
The questions go on and on. Lepp & Associates, Inc. is capable and willing to be as supportive as you want us to be.
RIGGING
After the scope of the project is understood a crew of very capable people; electricians, millwrights, and heavy equipment operators, need to physically disconnect and disassemble the machine. The same crew should travel to the new location and do all reassembly. Proper tagging and labeling all piping and wires and other connection points is paramount to a successful installation and startup. Leveling and optical alignment is a critical part of this process and should not be overlooked in an attempt to economize. Safety is also a big issue when moving heavy machinery and this should not be overlooked.
We have access to companies that move nothing but heavy machinery; in fact we keep them busy most of the time. We can solicit quotations, make these arrangements for you and supervise the entire project if it is helpful to your organization. This is an area where you should be very suspicious of low ball quotations. The successful start up of your equipment could be determined in this process.
TRAINING & STARTUP
Start up and operator training is a step that is often overlooked or forgotten. We can provide these services if it is of help.
Teaching your operators the best way to handle and use their new production tool seems to be the best way to quickly get the best results and output from the machine. Waste caused by trial and error is not only expensive; it can also jeopardize important customer relationships.
We are here to help you through the WHOLE job.
