REBUILD ANALYSIS
Rebuilding existing equipment can be a cost effective way to obtain additional machine capacity and capability. At times however attempts to rebuild are just not compatible with the expectations. We can help you look at the options, understand what needs to be done, determine how to do it or where to get it done, and accurately assess the likely gains after the rebuild is complete.
We have the capability to look at the entire machine instead of just one small component. While it is true that up grading to chamber style doctor blade ink metering systems will improve your quality and should increase your speed you also need to know if the tension controls and drying systems can handle the increase in speed. If they can’t NO productivity gain will be obtained from the investment. You need to know this before you spend the money.
After these topics are understood, cost estimates can be established and compared against the cost of other alternative such as other used equipment or new equipment.
We have the experience to look at a project from all the angles.
PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS
Performance analysis is similar to rebuild analysis but takes the process one step further. It compares objectively what you are achieving now with what we know we can achieve after the modifications are complete. If the outcome is not 100% guaranteed we can show you how to rate the outcome based on confidence factors.
We have the ability to estimate what gains a modification will deliver, how to measure the results and how to use that information to justify or reject a particular project. We can also help you identify the most likely next problem you will encounter after the up grade is complete. You have to know the whole story to properly evaluate whether or not you will achieve your objectives.
APPRAISAL
There are a number of reasons a company may require an appraisal of their capital assets:
1) Company recapitalization to justify new investments
2) Determine Market value
3) Compare Book value with actual Market value
4) Help offset cost of new equipment and help make those replace or rebuild decisions
Regardless of the reasons for an appraisal there is only one way to determine actual market value. That is to look to see what people have actually paid for the same or very similar machines in the recent past. You also need to know what similar machines are currently on the market, how long they have been on the market and how much the current owners are asking for them. If this sounds a lot you last discussion with a real estate agent; it should. Bottom line it is the only way to get a handle on what someone is likely to pay for your piece of equipment and therefore determine its market value.
We have the knowledge, contacts, experience and integrity to provide unbiased comparisons and information that is meaningful.
